I feel like I should call these blogs Letters to Brian, as they are replacing my every day annoyance of the poor boy.
Anyway, these are just going to be me rambling on… Seriously. Some ideas, some crazy thoughts, Business plans that will probably never happen etc…
So last night I got home after working 2 jobs (Career and part time job at Cabelas). Low and behold the heater was pushing out cool air. We thought maybe that was normal as the temperature had not lowered at all… but as soon as it dropped one degree in the house, we knew something was wrong. Of course it was 9 degrees F outside. We determined that we were probably out of fuel oil. We hoped that was it anyway, cause if not we would need to fix the heater that night and if I couldn’t do it, then we would need to call someone at midnight and pay them a huge fee to come out and fix it at that time.
I had forgotten to have anyone come out and give it a checkup this year (or the last) so I thought maybe something needed cleaning. But I promised God I would totally do that before this next winter if he would just let this be the issue (lack of fuel). Either I was lucky, or God was listening… Either way, it was the fuel. I had gone to Meijer and bought a gas can, then to the gas station and grabbed some Diesel to use. It works the same as fuel oil and is perfectly safe for the Furnas. Of course I smelled like fuel oil after, but hey, we had heat.
